The 3D SURROUND edition contains all files from the STEREO edition plus the same recordings in 8-channel ORTF-3D Surround, divided into 4.0 Lo (L • R • Ls • Rs) and 4.0 Hi (Lh • Rh • LSh • RSh)

• If a library is being available as stereo and a surround edition, this collection contains the stereo editions.

iLok is an industry standard that we use to manage our BOOM Interactive software licenses (Please note: iLok is NOT required to work with our regular BOOM Library Sound FX packs). There are two different types of iLok protection available:

An iLok device can be purchased directly at ilok.com or – if you want to purchase from outside the USA – here. Additionally, you can get an iLok device from the most music or audio software retailers.

Important: Both Editions, the TURBINE FREE TRIAL and the TURBINE FULL VERSION require an eligible iLok USB device to load.

iLok is an industry standard that we use to manage our BOOM Interactive software licenses (Please note: iLok is NOT required to work with our regular BOOM Library Sound FX packs). For our clients, the iLok system consists of two components:

1. A free license management software
2. A portable USB device that must be purchased separately. Please note that a lot of software plug in creators use the iLok system, so if you already own a 2nd generation (or newer) iLok USB device, you don’t need to purchase another one and if you purchase an iLok USB device now you can use it with software from other manufacturers (one iLok to rule them all).

STEREO & 5.1 SURROUND

The STEREO & SURROUND edition contains all files from the STEREO edition plus the same sounds in 5.1 surround files.

Improved workflow

We differentiate between sound FX and sound file. Each sound file can contain multiple variations of a sound (up to 6 variations based on the product).
That way, we assure to provide you with different styles of a single sound in one file instead of multiple files, keeping your database nice and clear and speeding up your workflow as you have multiple variations available by dragging only one file to your audio host software.

Less repetitive sound design

Having multiple variations of a single sound effect also guarantees you a less repetitive overall soundscape when using the effect multiple times in a row or over and over again in several projects.

CONSTRUCTION KIT – THE SOURCE SOUNDS

A CONSTRUCTION KIT generally contains thousands of sounds as raw as possible and only as processed as needed for a specific topic, perfectly organized to make it easy for you to use them. Carefully selected, those sounds give you all the freedom and possibilities you need to design your own sounds within the given topic from scratch. For some topics it is difficult to provide recordings only, so you will find some pre-processed or synthesizer based sounds in those collections as well, but still only basic material, since we don’t want to offer it compressed to the maximum or similarly mutated. After all, the CONSTRUCTION KIT serves as such for ourselves, namely in the following process of creating the respective DESIGNED collection.

DESIGNED – THE PRE-DESIGNED & READY-TO-USE SOUNDS

The DESIGNED collections feature fully designed sounds which originate from the CONSTRUCTION KIT stock. The sounds are of a specific topic and ready to use: mixed, processed, compressed, mastered etc. They can be easily put into all kind of projects, for example trailers, commercials, movies, TV shows and so forth or used as in-game sounds. This collection provides a quick and easy workflow and you can still use those sounds as a basic and layer, stretch or otherwise adjust them to suit your specific needs.

BUNDLE – THE MONEY-SAVER

The bundle is the best option as it contains both, the DESIGNED and the CONSTRUCTION KIT at a reduced price.
